Our Corriedale History

Shirley established the Corriedale stud in 1963.

We breed large, open faced sheep with 26-28 micron wool. The Haven Park stud has been relatively closed with the only outside genetics used in the last 15 years being semen from the top sires in New Zealand.

Since 2008 we have only shown unhoused and March shorn sheep at sheepvention because of our commitment to expanding our commercial enterprise. Corriedale genetics play a big part on the maternal side of our prime lamb production with most of the commercial ewes at Haven Park being 50% or 100% Corriedale.
